Hum Azad Hain, Kya Hum Faqr Se Kehsakte Hain – Kya Hum Faqr se Kahe Sakte Hain “Sare Jahan Se Achha Hindustan Hamara”
I remember very distinctly, how my Maternal Grand Mother would encourage and tell me about our Independence and sacrifices our forebeareres of our Freedom struggle with British.
How can I forget. As a boy, my thrill of 26th Jan and 15 th Aug was such, I used to polish my canvas shoe with Khadi a wet chalk and set my white dress, socks, ready for experiencing thrill of 15 th aug or 26 th Jan.
I hardly could sleep waitng for when the sun will rise and when will i be in school parade ground to witness flag hoisting and sing national anthem, I do not see any more in present day modern schools such practice today.
HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY 26TH jAN 2012,
MAY WE PROGRESS AND CORRECT OUR MISTAKES AS WE MARCH AHEAD,
WE MAY BE HAVING FLAWS, WE MAY HAVE MUCH TO CORRECT,
WE MAY FIND FAULTS WITHIN US AND WITH OUR LEADERS AND SOCIETY.
YET WE HAVE MUCH TO CELEBRATE AND FEEL PROUD OF BEING INDIAN.
I AM PROUD TO BE INDIAN,
THOUGH I SEE MUCH IS YET TO BE ACHIEVED.
AND THEIR ARE EYES THAT ARE WET, AND
MANY DREAMS THAT WERE SHATTERED,
YET WE HAVE MANY DREAMS NOT REALIZED,
LET US MAKE OUR DREAMS A REALITY TOGETHER.
Test of our Love toward our Nation is in providing it and making it strong as one people with one mission and one goal to live united and making India a just nation of equals providing equal opportunity for all. And learn to defend, prosper and live together as one nation.
